Thanks are these setups you all talked about good for alot of different types of lures and fishing cuase i only have two other setups and i need something pretty versitile.

I have several TAS rods, but the one I think is most versatile is the TAS806C.  It's a 6'8" medium-heavy/fast rod.  It's billed as a spinnerbait road, but I don't hesitate to use if for a variety of other applications.  If I had only one, this would be it.  

I was in you shoes a couple years back when I first started bass fishing.  I ended up going to BPS and got their Shimano Citica paired with a BPS Extreme 7' M/H for $150, and then I spent the other 100 on misc. tackle.  It's a good all around setup that will last me for awhile.  Good luck with the baitmonkey

I see that now.  They removed the little sale notice on the actual reel page itself. It's like a surprise discount which you'd never know was there until you actually went to buy one.
