NEW!! 2007 Diawa Alphas 150

Featured Replies

Has anyone seen the new diawa alpha 150s or used them yet?  They claim to be a bit bigger than the older alphas and now they can be used for fresh or saltwater.  im considering pickin one up but i dont want it to be like some huge saltwater real.  what reels out there now couuld you compare it to? Sol? Steez? Curado? etc.

I would compare it to a suped up TD Advantage.  That's all it really is.  They weigh just about the same.  They put the swept handle on them from the Steez and Zillion.  Good lookin' reel but I like the older style better.

It's just a bigger and heavier new addition to the Alphas lineup...I wouldn't trade one of my purple alphas for one.  They are cheaper than the Alphas or Alphas type F (not in quality I imagine...just noting).  Bass.jp has them for $205, the type F for $215, and the Alphas 105 (purple) for $218.
