  1. i know this is kinda off the PIB subject but i called the office at Shenango lake today n they said it was open with no ice....im thinking about heading up there on saturday. have any of you guys fished it this early in the year and is it worth fishing this early?
  2. lemme know too!...ill be able to do it on a weekend
  3. i am on vacation from work the first week so i will be up there for sure...ill be staying at my camp about 10 minutes from lake wilhelm so ill probably fish wilhem and maybe pymatuming Saturday and Sunday then goto Erie Tuesday as long as the weather is decent so hit me up if youd like to meet up...there will probably be 2 other boats with me so there will probably be room for riders if needed
  4. pm sent to bassnleo
  5. I took my nitro out a few weeks ago n came to realize that when i would go to put it into reverse it would "click" like it was not catching so i am thinking that the cable needs adjusted? i took the hood off looked at it and i have no idea on how to go about doing it.....please help!
  6. i was just ther yesterday to take my nitro out for the first time this year. I did good and bad, in that i caught some smallies up by the dam, niggest being 3.1 and my buddy was in the river catchin some too between 15-20 inches. the bite was tough but my spots perform year round, AND THEY ARE NOT COMMUNITY SPOTS EITHER 8-) as for largemouth, your best bet is to fish channels in coves, thats where the lunkers chill
  7. hey flyhatch thats what i heard too. i called a friend of mine who fishes kbbc today n he said he is going to go check it out tomorrow n let me know if its still iced over or not. Last I heard was it was thawing out from the bank but you still couldnt get a boat on it. i am going somewhere on saturday and the more i think about it my options are limited due to the fact that there is another tournament at cross creek on saturday and i dont wanna be out there with 60 other boats, the rivers are high thanks to all this rain and arthur is still frozen. hopefully it will thaw with al the rain and the speers pool on the mon wont be affected too much from the rain since it is more south. I do know one thing and that is that the allegheny is really flowin right now. :'(
  8. Does anyone know if lake arthur is thawed out yet? i was kinda hopin to get up there this weekend if it is. i looked on the kbbc websites and a couple others n it did not say
  9. if you want just pm me
  10. glad i could help ya a little bit....i got 3 tourneys in the beginning of may up pymy and im sick of catching limits of 13 and 14 inchers...can you help me out as where the big smallies are?
  11. A friend fished an X series tourney there last year and absolutey hated it. He said that its is murky like pymatuming and is a giant circle. good luck though
  12. I recently purchased my nitro off a friend of mine who failed to wipe the hull off when taking it out of the water and on to the trailer for 3 years. Now there is a nasty yellowish/brown line on the side of the boat. I have tried a couple cleaners with no luck. I talked to a guy at a boat show a couple months back about it and he said that Toon Brite should remove it. I was wondering if any of you folks have used it or what you thought about it. I am headin to bass pro this weekend in harrisburg, PA to pick some up. I was there last weekend and noticed that they had it in stock.
  13. i got a 17ft nitro with a 125 merc. i talked to a couple buddies that have a nitro n a skeeter n they are up for it too! I got tourney on may 3rd at pymatumingbut other than tht the month of may is open for me up till june 7th for a BFL so i can go anytime between those dates
  14. count me in too! i was up there the last week of march last year and had a blast with the largemouth. almost 13 pounds with my 3 best. I then took a trip up there in may n caught close to 80 smallies averaging 2-3 pounds with n occasional 5 pounder ;D. If we do get together i vote for a trip in may
  15. Since its the beginning of december and my boat is winterized i figured it was about time to start putting my peg board together and organizing everything i own. I hung all of my rods and reels up in my garage and i got to thinkin, is it good to leave my kistler rods and diawa reels out in the freezing cold for the winter months? What do you guys do with all your equipment during the winter months to keep them in good working order?
