Featured Replies

Looking for some info on Berlin Lake in Ohio. Will be there late May and early June. Any helpful tips will be appreciated.

Feel free to PM if necessary.

A friend fished an X series tourney there last year and absolutey hated it.   He said that its is murky like pymatuming and is a giant circle.  good luck though

I've heard it fishes like Pymatuning, I can only hope! I love that lake ;)

glad i could help ya a little bit....i got 3 tourneys in the beginning of may up pymy and im sick of catching limits of 13 and 14 inchers...can you help me out as where the big smallies are?

i fished Berlin once. Can you spell S-K-U-N-K-E-D??  lol. There was a nice section with lots of trees coming out of the water, looked perfect habitat.  But no fish.  >;)

Love that lake.

and being a big circle? don't get it. its long and has many fingers and coves. lake Milton, which berlin flow  into is a big circle. yes its muddy, but some of the creek arms can be clear as can be. there is tons, and I mean tons of flooded brush and timber. so much that you can flip for ever. Yes Its hard to fish, but if you can figure it out, it can be great. If your there in may, use sinko's, rat-l-traps,  tubes and small worms. took me a few times up there, to find them, but they are there. I am the only one so far, but great lake. one of my favs to fish in Ohio.

Have not fished it YET  all though I am going to give it a try soon.  Did not know about this lake till I found your post, and it is only about 1.5 hours from home.  That's why I love this site.   Looking at the  Army Corps map, I don't get the circle thing either.  I'll let you know how it goes, hopefully I will be there before you're trip there and I'll have some info for you.
