Soft swimbaits vs hard swimbaits

Featured Replies

Ive just really got into swimbait fishing, Ive got some of both the hard and soft swimbaits. Just wondering which you guys find most productive or have had the best luck with? Or maybe there is a time where you would choose one over the other?

One thing is for shure, I always meditate if I really need to cast that 40+ dollars sinking hard swimbait in a lake stuffed with stumps, sunken trees and brush, with soft plastic swimbaits I don 't meditate it too much.  ;D

They both have their time and place. I would say that about 50% of my swimbait fish come on a hardbait while the other...oh about 50% come on a softbait ;)

So in what situations would you choose each one?
