I was thinking about getting a Shimano Crucial Drop Shot spinning rod 6ft. 8in. m/xf. for shakeyheads. Does anybody have any experience with this rod. I will be pairing it with a Shimano Symetre 2500 and 8lb. seaguar invizx. I usually use 1/8 oz. jigheads, 3/32 on occasion.

That's a good choice for shakyheads. I prefer 7foot for dropshot.

I went ahead and ordered it. I will see how it does.

I think you are going to be a little bit surprised if you have not fished a Crucial before.

No Jeff H I have never fished with a crucisl before. I have heard good things about them.

My brothher has that exact combo. I used for a couple of hours on our last trip together, and told him I was taking it with me. I will not repeat what he told me. I liked it, even though I don't use spinning gear very much.
