No.  I've been waiting, too.  I'm looking forward to checking this rod out.  Looks great.

All Star told me that Cabela's would most likely get them first. They are not on Cabela's site yet (as of yesterday) I would guess that Cabela's wont have them on the website until the 2008 Catalog comes out. It cant be too far off.

If you all are still looking then www.all-americanoutdoors.com has them for only 90 bucks

The gentlenmen at Cabelas in PA, said the rod will be out in 2008, it is to compete with the St Croix Triumph, as an "entry level rod", However the one guy I trust was not there, and I am just repeating what they said.

Well I just put in the order for the ASR815C(6'9" M) rod so it should be getting here on fri. hopefully, and will put a Pflueger Summit on it and will try to post a review as soon as I get it.

The only thing is that I am hoping that UPS is nice to it in the mail

It's just an entry level rod? really?

Cuz it looks freakin epic, by that I mean it looks like a high dollar 'performance' rod.

Seems to be more than entry level.  AS's IM10 multimodulus rods (TAS IM10s) are awesome - super sensitve and super tough.   This one has Alconite guides, like AS's high-end Platinum rods, and new reels seats with far more blank exposed.

Like i said the salesman I get my most dependable help and advice from, was not on location. I had supposed that the INSTINCT was their entry level rod, This rod is not made in Texas, it's an import, although i do not put a lot of emphasis on USA made. I have fished Fenwicks HMXand Shimano Crucials  made in China and  both were better than the St Croix Premier.  They were pretty strong that this rod is to compete with the The Triumph, which according to St.Croix is very much the same as a Premier but it's an import. I have fished both the Premier and the Triumph. pretty close!

I ditched them and I am sticking with Fenwicks and All Stars.
