Where to Order Abu Max Reels?

Featured Replies

Ok I am getting my little brother a new shotgun along with an Abu Max reel for Christmas as he seems to fish the Revos fine but cannot fish a cheap reel.  I want to find a place that will guarantee delivery by Christmas and has a decent price.  Any suggestions?

For the Abu Max series and Revo's try ***.com. That's where I ordered my Revo S, Black Max, and Tourney Max from. Not to sure about delivery by the 25th but worth a shot.

*** has all 3 of the new Max series. Black-$49.99, Silver-$59.99 and Pro-$79.99.

They are running FREE FedEx shipping on orders over $50.00. They do have an "air" option but didn't see a cost listed for that. Did not see anything that said guaranteed Christmas delivery but there is an 800 number so they can no doubt fill in that "blank". It does state that if they receive your order before 2:30 Pacific standard time that it will be picked/packed that same day. They are located in Calif. so would guess it would make it in time.

Those prices are consistent with Abu's MSRP on their site.

Keep an eye out for the "monkey" when you get there. Lots of "toys".

I was Dick's Sporting Goods yesterday and they had Silver Max/Lightning Rod combos for $40 after mail in rebates. They weren't selling just the reel though.

I have the pro max and the black max. Personally I like the pro one more than a revo s.

Realized that later. Sorry

The Silver Max sold at Dick's is not the same reel. It is a reel made specifically for dicks. The reel alone costs over 40 bucks.

Do you know what the differences are in the two?

I am not really sure. I have handled both reels and the one sold at Dick's is not close to the real thing. It is heavy and does not feel like a quality reel. When you engage the reel and spin the spool w/ your thumb it turns a few times and then dies.  I think you might be better off buying him a Shimano Citca from Delo's, 70 bucks with rebate.  They are great reels and I like them over my Abu's.
