I went out today and bought my dad a Curado 100 for Christmas and got the $50 rebate. Yippy.   And then I started looking at spinning reels to use with 4-6 lb test mono since I'm getting onto this lite line kick.  I wanted to keep it inexpensive so I bought the  Shimano Sahara 750 rated for 2-6 test.  Was only $59.  But since I'm a valued (Sucker) shopper at this store, they gave me 10% off for both reels and the rebate.

So I went home and paid the bills and ate dinner.  I got bored and began surfing the net (after I made sure the wife was sound asleep) looking for a rod for my new spinner.  I ended up on the Loomis site.  Did yall know that Loomis has a Bait Monkey patrolling their site looking for victims to attack?  Yep, they sure do.  I ended with an IMX 6'6 SJR-782 one piece.....

It never ends, does it?   :-/

Please explain to my wife that I'm not the only one.  Went to Cabella's in Hamburg PA and BSP on the way south in Harrisburg.  Both had one left of the 7'1" GLX Senko rod....I tried to explain that I couldn't let other people buy them regardless of it being Christmas or not, they had to be mine, and that  It saved me from ordering them online but that didn't seem to help my case much either.

She doesn't understand how much sense my choice makes.  What would happen if every other one of those rods in the world suddeny caught fire?  Then I wouldn't be able to get one.....it could happen.

whats special about sexy shad? i was lookin at strike king red eyes, and the sexy shad color looks retarded on them. it looks good on the pro model cranks though. i also noticed that it was only in stock on the red eyes (basspro).

You should try hunting and fishing, the monkeys never seem to get off my back all year from new rods, barrels, scopes, guns, clothing....and on and on and on.  It is a wonder the bankruptcy monkey has not set in, although I never let him out of the cage!

Fishing sites have taken place of the XXX sites for me.  I find myself browsing the store and seeing what kind of good stuff I can get for 50 bucks or 100 bucks.  It's become a habit.  I guess i'm testing my self control.  As long as I keep my credit card locked up, i usually do pretty good.
