Zillion 100HA?

Peasey,

The Zillion is a work horse. It is not meant for finesse applications.

The swept handle is really nice when working topwater baits. It also will do a geat job on a MH or H worm/jig stick. It also handles big spinnerbaits, c-rigs, and froggin' really well too.

No prob.   :)

I have a 100SHLA and I absolutely love it.  I had it tuned with ABEC 5's and carbontex drag upgrade, and a sweet reel became even sweeter.

I mainly use mine for topwater plugs and buzzbaits.  But I've also used it for T-rigs and it did really well.

As I said before, the swept handle is really nice; it has a very balanced feel to it.

Hey Gone_Phishin, glad to hear you love your Zillion 100SHLA! I can't wait to use mine this year (should be here any day now 8-)). I think it will become my flippin'/pitchin' reel.

Hooked_On_Bass,

When the water thaws in your neck of the woods, let us know what you think of the Zillion.

Usually, flippin/pitching is easier with reels equipped with mag V, and the Zillion has mag Z, which is better used for casting heavier baits.

Will do!

I have heard that. I figured the reels toughness combined with the fast gear ratio would make it a great reel for pitchin' jigs into heavy cover with the speed to take up slack in a hurry :-/. If it doesn't work out I always have my Curado or Chronarch Mg. The Zillion is my first Daiwa (Shimano guy) so I can't wait to try er' out either way ;D.

Is the 100HA meant for finesse or heavy fishing?

Regular, heavy or power fishing, this reel does not like light lure for more that I have tunned.
