a few questions

Featured Replies

Ok so i went to basspro earlier to get my hands on some rods and get the feel to see which im gonna buy to pair wirth my new spinning reel and i was looking at a shimano sahara and bionic blade combo and it had the power and action on the rod. Then i go to look at the rods alone and none of them had the action, just the power. So i ask the guy workin at the reel counter why is this? he told me its becuase all MH rods are fast action and said that M rods have the parabolic bend. Is that true? and when i asked him why 1 bionic blade had the power and action and all the others only had the power he kept answering my question with the same response. Am i not hearing something here or what? Any help would be nice

I do not know if this answers your question, but I have a two year old extreme and all it says is MH. I noticed that the new Bionic Blades are listing both action and power. I seriously doubt that he knew what he was taliking about. My BPS leans towards a fast action in which only the top 1/3 bends while casting a lure. The combo may have been a batch of the new rods. The way to tell is the new ones have a cork butt cap from what I have seen online and in the catalog.

Maybe it's true for that brand, but not true as a generality. I have various brands of M power rods with fast action.

P.S. I just looked. The guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
