Ive been thinking about getting a Diawa L/T Swimbait rod for my Zillion. Ive got two questions: 1. Would the Zillion be good for larger baits and 2. would it be a $ mismatch with the L/T rod because I could get a better one but I like Diawa.

1) 6-12 oz on a LP reel??? My opinion would be I wouldn't do it. That's round baitcaster territory, IMO.

2) I wouldn't worry about monetary imbalance, I have a $100 reel on a $355 rod.

How heavy are the swimbaits that you plan on throwing??? The zillion does handle some heavier baits alot better than other LP reels.

I was going to throw swimbaits in the 5 inch range and maybe some 3/4 oz deep divers. I didnt read the weight reccomendation on the L/T right or something, I was thinking it had about a 2oz max weight.
