Not alway's true. The only stipulation is the sale must be from an authorized dealer or reseller. If the E-bay sale is through an E-bay store, or a store that is selling online through E-bay, that is a dealer, then everything is kosher. Yes, John Doe selling reels he got from who knows where, will not fly with Shimano.

Heres a deal with a $50 rebate.....Its an authorized seller so the rebate is legit,  this guy sends a manilla envelope with your reel with the rebate form and sales reciept from his store for you to send to Quantum for your rebate.
