Can anyone explain how to adjust the brake pins on the Pflueger Purist reel?

Look like this?

Pins in 12:30 and 6:30 positions are on, others are off.

easiest way for a pfluger is to throw the reel in the lake and get a shimano ;D ;D :)

j/k if you are fairly new with a baitcaster set it every other one in the out position. you will hear it click either in or out. if you are used to baitcasters go ahead and run it like mr walnuts.

The new Pflueger Purest brakes don't look like the photo in Burley's post.  It has a spring and a small plastic tab.  When you can see all of the spring and the plastic tab is toward the center the brake is off.  Just push the plastic tab, with you finger nail, toward the outside to the reel to engage the brake.  It will lock in this position.
