Featured Replies

looking for a good first fluerocarbin for casting on a spinning real. I dont like leaders, so i was looking for one i can run straight by itself

i usually use spiderwire 8lb test...but i use a lot of jigs, and i have heard about fluero forever and wanna give it a shot...

any suggestions on a nice fluero to try out

I Like P-Line CXX.

;)

But that's a mono isn't it?

You're right. Thanx for pointing that out.

*Edit* I like P-Line Flourocarbon

But the CXX is a good mono.

10 # Berkley 100 % Flouro Pro Grade. It has all the qualities of Flouro but casts like Co-poly.

Vanish Transition by Berkley.

On a spinning reel go with the 6 or 8 pound test.

When spooling it onto the reel be sure to run it through a wet spot on a wash cloth soaked with silicone or Kevin VanDam's Line and Lure Conditioner to remove the powder and to make the line very supple and limp.

I suggest KVD's product, even though it is expensive, but silicone works, too.

Do not over spool the line on the reel.

You may want to use a baitcaster for your heavier lines of 10+ test or jig fishing.

Let us know how you do.

P-Line fluorocarbon.  If you can't afford that then Vicious fluorocarbon.  Its not as good as P-Line but it gets the job done!

i like p-line but think brekley vanish is more manageable

I ave used Vanish, Transition, P-Line Floru, Seaguar Invizx and Berkley Trilene Fluorocarbon. I had nothing but problems with Vanish and Transition The Seaquar and Trilene Floro are great don't think you could go wrong with either. I have started using the Trilene more often because it comes in  green, not just clear, and I prefer green.

well what do you guys think? should i just stick with mono?

i am a bank fisherman, who mixes it up a lot on the water, but i would only change the line about 3 times a month. So i want to be able to do what i want, versatility

is it worth the crossover? how does it do in hang-ups?

dont use topwater as a reason NOT to use fluero,. im not a topwater guy

: )

thaqnks for all the help!
