Reel maintenance do it yourself ?

Featured Replies

I want to start doing the reel maintenance myself and possibly get into repairing. The maintenance task for now is my main priority. Could someone recommend an up to date step-by-step book, video or website? I own a Curado 200, Shimano Chonarch 100B, Shimano Stradic, Diawa Zillion and two AG Revo SX's. I thought the reels used to come with directions on how to maintain them yet there's nothing in any of my boxes other then the parts list and warranties. I want to learn both BC and Spinning. Any advice would be greately appreciated!

Zel taught me how to do a regular kind of oil and grease maintainance. The trick is to know where to put the oiol and where to put the grease IN VERY SMALL APPLICATIONS, it is still wise to have an expert such as Dave , pull  them apart every once in a while and do a professioanl job.
