P-Line Braid

Featured Replies

Does anyone else use this line? I was skeptic about braid until someone recommended P-Line. Yesterday I hooked a jig on an underwater branch and thought the jig was gone forever. I pulled the line figuring it would break but I heard a series of breaks. Needless to say the wood broke and my jig came flying out. I think I'm going with P-Line 14 Lb. braid from now on.

I use 50lb Power Pro on a baitcaster. I carry a wooden dowel in my box to wrap around the line to pull a lure free. I have straightened out some pretty stout hooks and lifted some impressive logs. I like the braided lines.

I have used the 20# P-Line. It handles fine. I however use Suffix and Tuf-Line XP at the moment. I am very pleased with Tuf-Line XP.

It's quality braid.  A little too much dye for my liking, but it is a good line for the money.

A lot of people use 50# braid when they are fishing in heavy cover.

Thanks for the welcome.. I just started heavily fishing last year and bought some decent quality fishing gear this year. When changing line next I'll try the 50 lb braid.

Alright here is an elementary question.... ya'll say you use 50 lb line. Now my rod combo is rated for 10-20 lb capacity. I know the 17 lb line is comparable to 4 lb. There shouldn't be a problem putting 50 lb line on my rig should there be?

You have to set your drag accordingly.
