Hey im wondering what type of polls and reels I need to buy...

I know how to use a baitcaster and all that etc etc.  I just don't need what type of polls and reels and lures I need to catch them bass... and what lures to use on which polls etc etc, I want to get involved in a lot of fishing this spring/summer..

Also mainly going for largemouth/smallmouth and stripers

what type of lures do you want to use. crankbaits, jigs, plastics, exc.

You can get a different type rod/reel for each one of these.

To start out, I'd recommend getting a rod around 6' 6" with a medium heavy action. That rod size is pretty good for all around use. As for a reel, the Shimano Citica in 100(fits better in your hands) or 200 size is a GREAT deal. You can get them for around 90 new, and 60 used.

I'd start throwing senkos weightless t-tigged. They are the most versatile bait I have every thrown. Plus, when fishing it weightless, most of the strikes are gonna be on the fall, so it is pretty darn simple to fish. Get them in any watermelon or pumpkin color. Those seem to be pretty standard colors when it comes to being universal.
