i just ordered a g loomis sjr 783 imx spinning rod it's 6'6" med/heavy

fast action i bought it to use as my all around go to rod , do you think i made a good choice ?

Yes, great choice. I have one of those also and I feel confident using it for any type of fishing.....jigs, flukes, worms, or just whatever really. Nice rod, you'll be happy with it.

Good choice but our answers would have meant more if you had asked opinions before you bought the rod.

Great rod.  I use mine for Senkos, tubes, grubs, small texas rigged worms, flukes, very versatile rod.  Also love the 843 IMX  :)

i have the 782 and its a great rod, so im guessing the 783 will be the same, just a little stiffer. good luck, im sure you will like it.

i used to have a 782 and i loved it bit a buddy of mine just had to have it , so i sold it to him and i was just going to buy another one but i already have 3 med action rods to i thought that i would try out a med heavy.
