Daiwa Light and Tough Bass Rods

Featured Replies

What do you think of the Team Daiwa® Light and Tough Bass Rod TL-74T-5FB for fishing Frogs? Is there a better rod for $130?

The Daiwa L&T series are my favorite rods.   I have not used the frog rod but I have the TL-76T-5FB and I throw frogs on it.

I'm not the most experienced guy here but do tend to have gear churn and my L&T rods have stayed.

I just bought one and I haven't had a chance to fish it but it is unbelievably light.

I like mine. I also use it for small swimbaits like the money minnow. Works well.

For frogs, is there an advantage/disadvantage between the TL-74T-5FB and the TL-76T-5FB. The rods are rated the same except for the 2" in length.

I asked the same question when I was looking for a frog rod.   I could not find the l&t frog rod locally.  Most people said there would be little difference.  All I can tell you is I love the rod and I don't think you can wrong with either.  BTW, I bought a second one I likes it so much.  Frog on one, flipping with the other.
