What knot do you guys use?

Featured Replies

Palomar for everything. Just easy for me. What I was taught when I started fishing a couple years ago, and just kept using it.

Palomar knot +

Strong and easy to tie

Improved clink all the time looking to diversify it this season.

Palomar, and here is why. I tied the trilene knot for years, but noticed it has one weakness. With the trilene, you have a little coil of line, that can possibly be a pretty big target for a bass's teeth. If you are not careful, that little coil can get scraped by sharp teeth and become weak. With the palomar, you don't have the long coil. Also, in my experience, the palomar is somewhat stronger.

u must be doin somthing wrong with the clinh knot, are u using the improved clinch, cuz i caught an 8lber with the improved clinch and havnt lost anything with it. ;)
