I now have to admit that I should have listened to some of you guys, and got a Shimano BC sooner. I love this Citica. I mounted in on my BCR803 Mossy and spooled it with Big Game 15#. This afternoon on my way home I took it out for a little bank fishing and had a sure fire ***. I was not planning on really serious fishing, just familiarizing myself with the reel. I tied on a Zoom Super Fluke and set the brakes and cast knob my normal way. In my first four casts, I caught and landed three decent Largemouths(around 2 to 3 #s). If that ain't a good sign for new gear, I don't know what is.

I was using mine today...casting a 3/8 oz Jig into a stiff head wind.....

It didn't backlash once...attributed to the reel not my ability

add me to the club. i have 17 baitcasting reels i've bought new just in the last 10 months and my citica 100DSV is tied for my favorite, even over other reels i have costing much more.

I just purchased my first Citica on Saturday, i took it out Monday morning and am love with it completely. I didn't catch anything at all that trip  :'(......Hope thats not a bad sign.

I bought a REVO S and a Citica. I loved my Citica so much that I sold the REVO S after fishing with it once and bought two more Citicas.

They rock.  8-)

I got the 100DSV and 200DPV both paired to Loomis rods.  The 100DSV is simply incredible.

Yes i was. Don't get me wrong i still think Revos are good reels i just like the Citica better, alot better.

I just picked up a Citica 200D to go along with my Citica 100DSV.  These will be my go to reels.
