Wavecast DH3000

Featured Replies

I've had my Wavecast for under a year now and up until today I've never had any legitimate complaints (although smoothness and casting distance leaves much to be desired), well that all changed today when I hooked a 1.5lb bass and the d**n reel breaks off where it connects to the rod support. I have never in my life seen a reel do this and looking at Wavecast's return policy which IF they see fit I MIGHT get back price - 15% restocking fee - shipping and handling both ways. Think twice if you've ever considered one of these reels. So it's looking cheaper for me to just buy a new setup anyways. I think I will be going with a legit brand bait caster, any recommendations?

Also, I bought this when they first started selling them, so not sure if they changed designs or not. I'm leaning towards not.
