  1. I love the store they have here, great selection of tackle, baits, etc. They always keep tons of variety on soft plastics. They usually have pretty good combos at good prices.
  2. Also, I bought this when they first started selling them, so not sure if they changed designs or not. I'm leaning towards not.
  3. I've had my Wavecast for under a year now and up until today I've never had any legitimate complaints (although smoothness and casting distance leaves much to be desired), well that all changed today when I hooked a 1.5lb bass and the d**n reel breaks off where it connects to the rod support. I have never in my life seen a reel do this and looking at Wavecast's return policy which IF they see fit I MIGHT get back price - 15% restocking fee - shipping and handling both ways. Think twice if you've ever considered one of these reels. So it's looking cheaper for me to just buy a new setup anyways. I think I will be going with a legit brand bait caster, any recommendations?

I used to have some oakley's until an ex broke them, now I fish solely with Wal-Mart polarized sunglasses. For the money, you can't go wrong.
  5. Bigger ones like this: Smaller ones like this: I love fishin' for some cats. 8-)
  6. I just got back in from night fishing. Tonight I used a wacky rigged senko, started with pumpkin with a chartreuse tail, then switched over to black with blue flake. Caught 8 fish from the bank in an hour and a half, all ranging in size from a half pound to three.
  7. For the price, it's hard to beat Zoom 6" Super Salt Plus U-Tale worms. Texas rigged and junebug in color is a deadly combination.
  8. Well, today I threw on some Berkley Vanish Flourocarbon 12 pound and the difference was night and day. This reel will cast nothing short of a country mile. I was just fishing a weightless wacky rigged senko and I was impressed to say the least.
  9. I'll give it a shot with some mono or flouro and update with any changes. Any specific brand recommendations?
  10. Well, after some good time to try out this reel, this is what I have to say about it. The reel is good quality, impossible to bird's nest which is good if you are new to spinning reels, but for me not so much of a benefit. I am disappointed with casting distance, no matter how hard I sling it, even with a good amount of weight, it just doesn't seem to cast out far. Once again, it is good quality, but I would recommend it for someone who is new to spinning reels and not your avid fishermen. I will be seeking a new reel soon.
  11. Are you fishing in a lake or in a river? My experience has led me to just let the lake cats just mess with it until they decide to take off with it, where as I tend to actively set the hook when fishing for cats in the Chattahoochee river.
  12. I would also like your paypal address!
  13. Hey Muddy Man, check your PM's I sent you a message!
  14. Well, I got to put the reel to good use today! I lined it with Berkley Fireline 20 pound braided line. It cast really smooth, the round handle took a couple of minutes to get used to, but now I prefer it! The snake lures have an insane action to them, it looks exactly like a snake swimming through the water! I didn't catch anything on it today, but I was more so just seeing how it performs. Schools of smaller bass all swarmed to it, but none attempted to hit it. I'll try it out where the big bass are on Friday and give y'all an update and probably a video!
  15. Well, the mail man brought me my Doug Hannon Wave Cast Spinning reel and my set of Bass Professor Snake Lures! Can't wait to try these out!
  16. Nothing like 'em. It's hard to describe, but they don't have a strong pickle taste. Once you try them you might be hooked, so be careful.
  17. I was fishing with a 6" Zoom U-Tale SS+ Junebug Worm and I got a huge hit and run. I thought it was about a 3 pound or so bass by the way it was pulling. When I pulled it in, this is what it was. A rather large bream, not sure what the technical name is for them, but if any one knows what it is, I'd like to know. I'm going to have him mounted. It's the biggest one me or my father have ever seen.
  18. Works better if you use pickle chips instead of spears. I use flour with some seasoning salt and pepper for the breading. These things are a nice snack! ;D

What are some Georgia Bass Clubs? I would like to get in one so I can gain some more experience.
  20. As soon as my buddy gets back in town around 3, we'll be taking her to the lake in the neighborhood I live in. Here are a couple of crappy cell phone pictures from last night when we were gettin' everything together.
  21. Well, It finally happened. I can now say that I finally have my own boat. It is a KL Industries Bass Hound 10.2 with a Minn Kota 28# Thrust trolling motor. It's got a livewell with aerator pump, two rotating padded seats. Man I am so excited. I'll get some pictures tomorrow when I take her on her maiden voyage out on the lake! Here is a picture of what one looks like.
  22. Ever since I graduated from school on the 19th, my buddy and me have been non-stop fishing at our lake. We started growing tired of fishing from the bank on Tuesday, so we ran to his house and got his 2 person Ocean Kayak since we didn't have anything else. We weren't really expecting this to work, but boy did it ever. Within the next hour and a half we caught 25 Bass ranging between 2-4 pounds! We would slowly paddle up into a promising slue and had great angles that we couldn't have otherwise achieved in a traditional boat. We were fishing with Texas Rigged Zoom U-Tale Super Salt Plus Junebug colored plastic worms, then when it got darker we switched to the Motor oil-Chartreuse color.
