Braid, Mono, Flouro, Copoly, whats your favorite

Featured Replies

Whats your favorite type of line? Why?

If you like more than one, thats ok, pick your favorite on the poll and let us know here the others.

Thanks guys

Braid is my favorite but not all apps call for braid. Been experimenting with Fluorocarbon instead of mono and so far I am liking it enough that I am thinking of replacing all my mono rods with it.

Power Pro

BPS Fluoro

These lines have seen the most work this year. No complaints so far.

I chose mono because it is cheap, casts great, and mainly it is what I am used to.

I chose mono because 8 out of 10 of my rods have Trilene Big Game 15#, the other 2 have Trilene Flouro. I use Big Game for everything except jigs and plastics. If Flouro was a little cheaper, I would probably use it more.

Braid Choice

1. Stren Superbraid

2. Suffix

I use braid for just about everything from top water to cranking to jigs, but almost always with mono or flouro leader.  Power Pro is for those who haven't tried Stren or Suffix, or should I say seen the light!

Flouro

1. P-Line

2. Trilene 100% Flouro

3. Seagur

Flouro I use primarily as leader

Mono

1. Trilene XL or XT

2. Big Game as Backing for Braid

I use this primarily on some of my lighter spinning rods or as backing

Copoly

NA for me.

Power Pro is for those who haven't tried Stren or Suffix, or should I say seen the light!

IMO Powerpro is way better than stren. I had stren and I hated it. Can't comment on the suffix though.
