Fishing heavy vegetation requires the proper tools one of which is your choice of jigs; not all jigs are suited for grass. Oldham's jigs are my #1 choice because the upturned head and line tie eye are designed to slice through vegetation. Another consideration is the positioning of the weed guards; weed guard that are positioned near vertical to the jig head will not come through the vegetation cleanly. Arkie heads are better suited for brush/timber while bullet heads are better suited for vegetation.
