I am purchasing a new reel and rod soon and my nearest tackle shop has a Daiwa Steez on sale for $250, a 200 dollar discount. I will be getting the Shimano Core for my reel, but I am having trouble deciding which rod to buy. I felt them both with the reel on and I am leaning more towards the G. Loomis, but the Steez is such a good deal. I am mostly jigging and throwing plastics...any ideas?

The Steez has got to be similar in quality to a GLX (only my assumption). The Steez appears to be a steal, but in the end evaluate which rod fits your need better and go with that.

Also, if you go with the Loomis, get at LEAST the IMX version of that rod...GLX even better if its in the budget.

Id go with the steez..thats a great deal.
