aluminum oxide guides

Featured Replies

just received a daiwa rod from my company for "5 years of service." it has aluminum oxide guides. are these strong enough for braided line or will they get torn up?

Definitely. Most modern guides are braid worthy.  Aluminum oxide is more than adequate. Congrats.

Congrats on the award.

All I can suggest is that you get a G. Loomis catalog and put it on your boss' desk for future reference.  ;D

If you have any questions about your guides please send a PM to Reel Mechanic.

He has forgot more about rods and reels than 10 of us together know.  :)

While not the guides I use, as stated most all of the guides manufactured today will handle braid.

Enjoy the rod.....
