What type of line?

Featured Replies

Hey guys, big week of fishing up for smallmouth, largemouth and trout coming up. Although I only have 2 rods both medium heavy to fish for all those fish so hope I don't get too much of a trout on. I was just wondering, I have 40@10pound test green micro filament braided tied onto both my spinning and baitcasting reel. Would it be better to use a mono filament on the spinning instead of the micro?

Just bumping this because I am leaving tomorrow.

You should be fine. If anything, you can tie a fluoro or mono leader to the line on your spinning rig with a uni-to-uni knot. This will provide a bit of stretch and shock absorption for trout and more delicate fish.
