I thought they were. I heard that the Es are going for $179, which is $20 cheaper than the MSRP of the Ds. Was there a price change?

oops my fault, you're right.  I bought mine right after the St croix rod sale and the same store offered 10% off any reel if I bought it then, not to mention the rebate...I guess I got mine for alot cheaper then! lol
