Powell  706 CB

Featured Replies

Well here goes. I've been fishing in a local bass club for a couple years and would like to fish some of the more competitive tourneys next year. I'm a non boater and would like to keep my rod number at 4. Here's what I have so far:

7'0" Rogue Drop shot rod spinning rod

7'6" berkely lighting rod flipping stick

7'2" Shimano Cumara spinning rod.

My question is that I need a good crankbait rod and was looking at the Powell 706CB. My question is that the rod's lure rating is 1/4 oz to 1oz which would suite me perfectly, but was wondering if it really handles the lighter crankbaits well? Hoping you powell guys could chime in on this ;)

Thanks,

Jacob
