Is this a good combo?

I have no personal experience, but I feel responsible to inform you that many have had drag problems with this reel, I can recommend a daiwa hsta though beautiful reel. If you don't want to spend 160 you can go on ebay and get one for 120 dollars and you will not be dissapointed great all around baitcaster.

yeah i think youll like that alot.

i would try to find a different reel at that price, but ive heard some good reviews about it too.... so hard to tell.

i went with the diawa 100h when i had the choice between the two and i dont regret it.

its kinda heavy though and i bought it specificly for bottom work.

youre gona get alot of people tellin you not to get the megaforce. but if youve held it and liked it... id get it. diawa has an ok customer service if you change your mind.... 8-)

Well what about the daiwa exceler? or the abu garcia black maxx or silver max?

nah.

id try and go to the 100 buck range and get a deal. find some things on fall clearence. you can get a shimano citica for arund 100 bucks. pflueger president, quantum kvd (maybe an accurist), diawa 100h.... things like that. you can normaly find that $100 range on sale.

the citica 200ds are supposed to be going for real cheap right now, they retailed for 120 only a month ago before the E series came out.  I have one and it is a nice reel.

Don't forget to watch the flea market, there are good deals on there a lot.

EDIT* just did a quick look at ebay and here is a new one for 80$

I have that diawa, its okay but I think it would be a better decision to save up for a citica or a revo s.

The Daiwa Exceler is in the same price range at Cabelas.  It might be worth a look. :)
