Shimano Citica 200E

Put the reel through it's paces over the last couple of weeks.  It isn't a bad reel.  Same feel as the Curado 200E, but not as nice.  The Curado E is worth the extra $60.

My only knock on the reel is that the handle doesn't have the larger knobs of the Curado.

Having said all that, the reel is a good one.  Well worth $120.

Any meaningful difference in casting distance or control with lighter baits?  Or, is it mostly ergonomics?  Thanks

I've been fishing my citica quite a bit in the past couple of weeks and have caught over 40 LMB's on it since. I have this reel paired up with a Powell 702CEF for speed worms. It casts 1/16oz and 1/8 oz weighed speedworms a country mile (2 brakes on) and rarely ever I backlash (probably once every 300-400 casts, and even then it's probably because Im casting light baits against 20 mph winds). The reel is really nice. The only two bad things about this reel is how noisy it is on the casts, and the fact that the sideplate has some play to it.
