  1. Frank Mir weighed in at 264.5, 20 lbs heavier than his last fight. It really looks like he is getting ready for Mir vs Lesnar 3. I surely hope Brock Lesnar can fight in the UFC again.
  2. Bass assassins have the best action of them all. I used to fish Zoom exclusively, tried bass assassins and never looked back. In fact, I took all the bags of zooms and threw them away. The only problem with bass assassins is durability. The plastic is softer than Zoom's.
  3. I have a 9' Pond Prowler with a 30lb thrust Minnkota in front and a 3.5hp Mercury in the back. You can fish any size lake with this rig .. it just takes time to get places.
  4. Spro Arukushad Jr. in Spooky Shad Color
  5. It all depends on your style. I am generally more of a finesse technique in thick cover fisherman and I need a strong reel with good drag to be able to cast light lures. For those applications there is nothing like the Revo STX. I casted the Zillion before and it feels really cheap, but some people swear by it. One thing I can say: If you need an all around reel, no matter what brand you go with, choose what fits your style the best, whether it be an STX, Zillion or Curado.
  6. If you would remove the clamshell (and you can), don't just toss the baits in the bag. Arrange them so that they retain their shape, or else they'll soon become worthless.
  7. Eagle Claw hooks aren't bad, but they aren't near the quality of Owner or Gamakatsu. The QC just isn't there. Here is Eagle Claw for you: Owners are the best hooks on the market. But I still use Gammys because they are cheaper.
  8. dats called a refleckshun when u take a pic out ur winder in yo veehickle and yo have sumtin behind ya on yo udder winder ;D It's painful to read this
  9. My local Dick's has 6-7 colors and at least 10-15 bags of each. Are you sure they are not just out of stock? I would believe all Dick's stock with the same merchandise (since they also carry an array of fishing tackle that is completely useless in Florida).
  10. Probably a few ounces shy of 2 lbs. GET A SCALE!
  11. Flip mats on 1.5 oz tungsten weight. 65 lb powerpro. Nothing new.
  12. That is friggin awesome. Congratulations! I need to catch some reds myself
  13. This worm is going to make Ole Monsters and 10" Powerworms obsolete. I get excited about things like this. I'm such a tackle nerd
  14. That is a solid one-pounder. Pretty fish, but not 2 lbs. Congrats! ;D
  15. Rod: Powell 735C Frog Rod Reel: Abu Garcia Revo STX-HS 7.1:1 Line: 50 lb Power Pro Lure: Spro Poppin Frog (in various colors)
  16. Do a double palomar for braid.
  17. Have you tried contacting Zoom?
  18. Those are some nice looking fish. Congrats!
  19. It's got lots of Omega-3 and Mercury. That's always good for you Dont eat LMB
  20. Just pack enough beer ;D It'll make it a heckuva lot more exiting.
  21. I went there last week and got skunked by bass for the first time ever. Caught 4 mudfish, yuck. The water is incredibly dark (for Rodman) and there is a tremendous amount of vegetation everywhere (because of the water being so dark). On that day I saw more than 10 floating fish including bluegill, pickerel and sunfish.
  22. The teramar is one heavy stick. It is really gonna wear you down if you need to flip all day. A good cheap alternative is a Powell 766.
  23. It's really not worth it if you don't have the right rod. If you fish uglysticks and canepoles you probably can't tell the difference. But believe me, use some quality graphite and the difference between lead and tungsten is night and day.
  24. Good bass! You gotta stop plucking your eyebrows tho ... its kinda weird!
