  1. Idaho? Iowa? Indiana? Illinois?
  2. Thanks man! I'll be there this saturday!
  3. I went to loxahatchee yesterday for 5-6 hours by myself and got skunked again. I really can't seem to figure out this place. I am really not from around here, so I've been trying different places (Lox, Lake Ida, Glades) with very limited success. I'm spending this time back home with my family so I'm trying to get some fishing done here and there but I'm yet to find a good place where to fish. I live in Gainesville and fish lakes up there with a lot more success. With respect to my boat, I dont have a big boat (9' Pond Prowler with a 3.5 hp Mercury) but it gets me anywhere I want to go. I can really haul as* in this little boat. My dad will be visiting in a few days and I can't find a place where to take him and catch fish. I am really not looking to catch a monster. I just want to take my dad out and be able to catch anything. Any recommendations?
  4. I've been to Loxahatchee a few times but it has never been productive for me. Could anyone that has experience here please help me? 1) What locations or the lake are most productive for you at this time of the year? 2) What lures, techniques? I'm going to be taking my dad fishing there this next week, and it sucks to take him out and not catch a fish. :'( Help!
  5. What canal is that exactly, if you dont mind saying?
  6. It's impossible to predict this game. The two teams play two completely different styles of football. It should be fun to watch. I do hope my gators win. Ta ta ta ta ra .. GATOR BAIT!
  7. I went Peacock fishing last weekend at Lake Ida in Delray Beach. Peacocks are so much fun to catch. They are a bit of a pain in the but when you get them out of the water because they will never stop fighting, even outside the water. You put your thumb in their mouth to open it, and they will keep twitching. Congrats!
  8. Oklahoma is the better team. Congrats to them!
  9. This bait feels more like a swimbait than it does a lipless crank. Unless you are fishing really deep structure, it is a no go. Let's hope rapala comes out with a 3/8 version and 5/8 version of the bait.
  10. $22 for a t-shirt doesn't seem very low budget.
  11. Mudfish are fun as hell to catch! Specially trying to remove the lure outta their mouth without losing a finger. Nice monster! PS: Dont call them Bowfin. Ppl will laugh at you down here.
  12. You can watch these games online at no charge www.channelsurfing.net
  13. I have a 9' BPS Pond Prowler that I've been running with a 30lb thrust Minnkota. It can move two people pretty slowly in still water and is seriously underpowered when there is a little bit of current or wind. I've been thinking about getting an outboard and I will probably purchase a brand new Mercury. However, I do not want to spend money on a motor that is underpowered and then be unable to return it , so .... Should I go with 3.5 hp, 4hp or 5hp? The maximum hp rating on my boat is 5 hp. Do you think that 3.5 hp is enough to move this boat (w/ 2 ppl) in moderate current?
  14. These are some chunky trick sticks
  15. The disgrace of the SEC!
  16. The fight is next week.
  17. How did the lure hold up? Any tears?
  18. SENKOS! burn!
  19. Bama will never get past the gators.
  20. Amen! and go gators
  21. I am looking to purchase a new rod in the next few days specifically for small lipless crankbaits (1/4oz and 3/8oz). I've been fishing Powells almost exclusively lately. Which one of the two would you recommend for this application? 1) Powell Glass Crank Rod 7' Medium 702: http://www.***.com/descpageRDCPOWELL-PGCBR.html or 2) Powell Crank Cast Rod 7' Med 704CB http://www.***.com/descpageRDCPOWELL-PCBR.html
  22. Florida bass shut down pretty bad during this time of the year. The first cold weeks affect the feeding of bass in these lakes pretty bad. My tip: 1) Fish shallow and close to structure. Bass will look for warmer waters (shallow waters before and after noon) and get real close to structure. Flip and pitch to docks, underwater structures and lily pads. 2) Slow moving baits work best Good luck.
