  2. Stay away from the code, it's pure garbage. I owned one and had to get rid of it immediately.
  3. Can you say RIPOFF? http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&partNumber=10204225&hvarTarget=search&hvarAID=&cmCat=10005475
  4. I own a Powell 702CEF (7ft Medium X-fast) that is specifically designed for shakey, weightless, etc. This is a premium rod at an affordable price. I use mine mostly for weighed speedworms and senkos. http://www.***.com/descpageRDCPOWELL-PCR.html
  5. What lake is that?
  6. Not all hope is lost. You might be able to find someone to do a good paint job for less than $300. If I was you I would just leave it as is and accept the fact that the resale price of your reel plummeted.
  7. That really sucks. At least you learned you should never set your reel down anywhere.
  8. Rugged. Reliable. Heavy.
  9. I was there. It was awesome! ;D
  10. What's with the revo? That just ruined the picture! It's like meeting a good looking lady and then realizing it's a dude ... dissappointing.
  11. Very nice scenery on 2nd and 3rd pic bwt. Giggity giggity goo! ;D
  12. Speed Worm replied to Thad's topic in Fishing Reports
I've had trouble with pelicans before, fishing live bait. Not cool! ;D
  13. There is no big bass in Orange Lake right now. The water level is extremely low and bass are really skinny in sickly. The average bass is probably right under a pound in weight. I would say 1 out of 300 bass are 3 pounds or larger. The largest I've caught in the past month was that 2lb-10oz bass (out of over a hundred bass caught). If you are looking to catch a lot of bass (30+ an outing), Orange is great. If you are trying to catch a trophy, this lake is not the lake.
  14. I wish they made them in 3/8oz and 5/8oz. 7/8oz is too heavy for my taste
  15. Great for reds!
  16. Well, I caught it in Orange Lake, where the average depth is 5 ft and there is one hole that is 12 ft. So I doubt it's because of being deep ...
  17. SPRO ArukuShad Jr. The most weedless lipless on the market, period. I would not dare to fish anything else in the swampy lakes I fish. $5.99 at Goose Mountain http://www.***.com/descpageSPROBAITS-SPASJ.html
  18. I fish speed worms with 1/16oz screw-ins almost exclusively, and do so with BCs
  19. About two months ago I sent my Revo S to get serviced and was in desperate need of a reel for my spinnerbait combo. I was gonna go fishing the morning after so I made a trip to BPS. I ended up purchasing the Code that night, after reading some good comments about it. The morning after I went fishing and about 1-1/2 hours into fishing, the reel started screeching horribly. It was so annoying that my fishing buddy asked me to please stop using it, because the noise was bothering him. Needless to say, I returned it that afternoon. I had the reel for less than 24 hours and promised never to touch a Quantum again.
  20. Did you sand the reel before priming? Did you wet-sand the reel after priming? Spray paint is probably not a great choice to paint small delicate things. Applying many very thing layers with an airbrush is probably the only way to undertake such a project and avoid runs. If you can't get ideas from ppl in this forum, look around modeling forums and such. Miniature modellers know a lot about this subject.
  21. What is your experience using them? What models have you used? What reels are you comparing them too, THAT YOU HAVE ACTUALLY USED? I bet that the answer to at least 2 of those questions is I don't kno or NO. You are right, I have not fished any top of the line Pfluegers. I have only fished trions and echelons (which I dont own, but a friend does) and they are pretty mediocre IMHO. I dont know how patriarchs perform.
  22. Down here, lipless cranks and shallow cranks have been very productive.
