hey guys TW has a 15% off sale for the 4th and I'm gonna use it need to replace my flipping stick that broke not to long ago. Need some advice on what to get. I've been looking at the carrot stix and the daiwa LT. Any help would be great.

Broke my first rod over the weekend. Was my flipping stick which I just started using this year and caught my biggest fish on. Set the hook on a 3lber and my first two guides just popped off. Got the fish but was really bummed. Just wanted to see how many rods have broken on you guys.

Hey I just started flippin this year my self. In fact in about an hour I'm about to go flip some laydowns . Anyway a 7'6" heavy action rod will work great. The bass pro rods are great for the money mixed thoughts on the power hump grip though(I like it) Not sure your price range but right now on Ebay you can get the QUANTUM TOUR EDITION PTC767FTB TOMMY BIFFLE FLIPPIN stick for 98 bucks shipped. That's a great deal!! Its the same rod I use for my flipping and I love it. As for the reel not sure if you got one yet but your gonna want one with a killer drag system. I would get a revo killer drag system on them babies. But the extreme combo will work really well for you also. revo and a carrot stix and still have money left over to spend!

I have one tackle bag that carries 4 boxes. 1 box for jigs 1 for spinners/buzzbaits 1 for cranks and 1 for hooks and weights. Then I put all my soft plastics in the side pockets.

Just wanted to see what you guys use. Some people say you get better hook ups with a straight shank wanted to see what you guys have to say about it.

I have about the same hook up with both. Only time I peg though is when I'm flipping(which is 90% of the time ;D )
