im looking into buying a rod for my heavy jigs (i consider anything over 3/8 to be heavy...) and im trying to decide between the Champion and Champion Extreme 704C

how much difference in weight is there between the two? Please compare to IMX and GLX if you are familiar with Loomis rods. Also, is there a big difference in sensitivity between the two rods?

Get the Extreme. It is a little lighter and a lot more sensitive.

I fish my 1/4oz and 3/8oz jigs on my 734 Extreme , I fish 1/2oz and 3/4oz on my 765.

Both are great rods, and I definitely prefer the longer rods. But the 704 and 705 are both very good as well.

There is definitely a difference between the Champion and Extreme series, so if money isn't much of an issue, definitely grab the Extreme
