carrot stix

Featured Replies

would a 6'9" parabolic action rod be ok for texas rigging, as far as hok sets are concerned?

thanks

Definitely not.

A MH is perfect for T-rigs IMO.

Fast or extra-fast is the action you want. Med or med-hvy is just the power rating of the rod. Parabolic rods are not for t-rigs.

i know the parabolic is for crankbaits, i have always liked a medium action rod fast tipped for worms. figured i would ask before i bought 3 of em

thanks guys

I have the 7'3 MH fast carrot stix.  I use it for worms and jigs, but it also did a great job throwing frogs in the slop.

True I forgot to mention the action.  Like Bass-Brat said, you will want a fast or x-fast action

Nope the Medium Parabolic carrot stix will work great for cranks, (rod i use for cranks and love it.)

I'm now using a 6'9 MH Fast action Carrot stix for all my worms/lizards. Fanastic line of rods!

I've got the 6'9 mh and the 7' XH. Both are spectacular rods, and they're my new favorite line of rods. Can't wait to try a spinning rod out.

I normally run with the St. Croix rods, but this summer tried others. Ended up with  6'9" mh and a 6'9" parabolic Carrot Stix. Both are awsome rods for their respective uses. And they look great under the Revo sx.
