Revo Toro....

anybody get one yet? What size? What do you think?

What do you want to use it for? The only size that I see as practical for bass fishing is the 50. And then I see it as a heavy bait (ie swimbait reel).  I don't own one, but I've handled them and seen the insides.  Very well built.

I got a 50, attached to a St Croix Musky Legend Tournament Top N Tail (8' MHF) It's my new swimbait rod. I liked that particular rod better than the Bass series swimbait rods out there. A little extra length without going too heavy on the power rating. That reel could pull a truck out of the mud!

thanks flywatersmallie,

I've got a rod picked out.

so, is it really a "low profile" versus a round reel. I've seen pictures and it looks pretty wide. also, what line are you using on it?

thanks for the pics,

since I've never held either or seen them firsthand, that isn't really helpful in relating the size. I'm just trying to get an understanding of the size of the reel in terms of palm-ability and how it relates to a round reel in height.

It is a low profile reel, period. It sits very low, like the other reels in the Revo line. I have smaller hands and I can comfortably palm it. I played a little with the 60 size and that was wider, didnt feel any larger in the hand. Right now, I'm running 50lb Power Pro. Bass season (at least the swimbait variety) is about done this year, I've had it out a couple times for muskies the last week or so.
