sold on kistler

Featured Replies

i have always thought kistler rods are some of the sweetest sticks i've ever picked up, but the price has been prohibitive to say the least.  but i just couldn't hold out any longer once they went on sale at our local gander mtn. store.  as impressed as i am with the rod, i was even more impressed once i read trey kistler's personal statement on the attached warranty card.  in our politically correct world, i'm sure he realizes that his statement of faith could actually hurt sales.  but obviously his convictions are so strong that this matters not.  it's obvious this man has priorities higher than selling rods.  my hat is off to mr. kistler.  seems like a good guy and he definitely makes a good rod.

I have to wait till the spring thaw to decide how much I like mine.  :)

I just picked up a 51 Mg from TW to pair with my He69MC...I have a feeling I'm going to love this combo for small jerks, cranks, topwater, and spinnerbaits.

Religeous beliefs aside, I will vouch for the man's integrity.  I had one of the 1st run Magnesiums.  Well, the 1st run ended up having epoxy issues.  It was bubbling and peeling in a few small spots.  I wrote to Kistler and was given a phone number.

Trey himself answered the phone and explained the issue.

He had a replacement on it's way to me that day.  He didn't have to wait for me to ship mine back or anything, just put a good one in the mail THAT DAY and asked that I use the tube and return label to return the faulty rod.

Everyone makes mistakes, it's how you handle yours that sets the example of your character.

Now for the bad part.  I kicked the new one overboard before I got to cast it  :)

That's impressive on both accounts. can you post his statement? I may have to look closer at these rods. I prefer to spend my money where they show integrity and great service!

Kistlers are good.

Love mine.

May get another one.

I have to ask the Bait Monkey if it is OK.  ;D

They are good rods and when you can get them at a discount , they become great rods.

A great company and owner to do business with.

The statement you are referring to is on the warranty card.  The Helium LTA can be had right now for $106.00 delivered to your door if you have a 15% discount coupon from eBay.  That is a steal IMHO.  Great rods and a great company.  They have always done right by me, even when the rod break was my fault, no questions asked.

I now own 12 Kistlers..... :)

I'm convinced they made me a better fisherman.

Definately great rods.

I too am sold on Kistlers. I now own 4 Graphite Plus, 5 LTA's and one LTX......Over the last few months I have replaced all my front line rods with Kistlers due to the sale on Simmons Sporting Goods. I'll tell you this, the LTA 6'9APC with a 50MG is a dream come true.......
