New reel for next season

Featured Replies

Looking at getting a new reel for next year.

As of right now im looking at a 6:3:1 Zillion, Kinda waiting for a online deal.

Just wondering how they compare to the Fuego, and Sol reels?

They are all pretty close in price, Any strong pro's or con's for each?

Also any others I should look at? Looking to spend $200 ish.

The Zillions have great reputations.   I'm looking at buying some of those myself.  But for now, I'm going to enjoy my new Fuegos.

I am danged impressed with the Fuego.  I just bought two at the killer price of $149.99 each.   If you are interested in a brand-new Fuego, this place...

...had them on clearance for $149.99 last week.  They may still have some left.  If that reel interests you, give them a call.  You can order one over the phone and they will ship it to you.

The Zillion is noticeably smoother than the Fuego or Sol, not that Fuego or Sol isn't smooth, but the Zillion is butter.  The Zillion is a better caster than the fuego, and will outcast the Sol with baits over 3/8oz, but the Sol will cast lightweight baits better than the Zillion.

I can't comment on the Zillion, since I've only ever messed around with them in the stores.  But if it is smoother than the Fuego, it must be very smooth, indeed.  The Fuego is very smooth.

The zillion is the smoothest reel i ever used . I also have theFuego which is a really good reel also .
