are they worth the money? is there any advantage to upgrading to tour or energy? are they comprable?

KVD is pitching his new line of rods.

They are glass but are supposed to have the feel of graphite.

Once again, your rods are your personal preference.  Some guys like to mix and match rods and reel brands while others swear by one brand.

KVD says it is to your advantage to have all of the same brand rods.  

Personally, I have a variety and love 'em all.  Even my old Ugly Sticks.

Go figure.  

If you like the rod because of his not original signature on it then power to ya. His name on it does not mean he has it in his boat because he doesn't. It all marketing to catch fishermen...just like his signature series reel. Never see him use either. All I've seen him use is Energy and Tour Edition.

Edit: now I'm not sure which one he refer to, rod or reel.

first off I don't fish Quantum rods or reels.  However, it would be to your advantage to get the higest quaility equipment from any manufacture as they have better components, better finishes, all around performance from the reel or rod is better, and better waranties.

One of the BPS fishing shows on Versus, I saw KVD using his new KVD cranking rod w/ a 3/4 oz Sexy Shad. So does that mean he actually uses it in tournament fishing?

But most times on that show I see him w/ a Quantum Tour Edition rod & sometimes a 7' Energy PT b/c rod for crankbaits.
