Shimano Chronarch B - Making A Decision

Featured Replies

I know the new 2009 Chronarchs are coming out, but I don't like them.  I prefer the B series & so....I am trying to decide either the B or BSV for an all around reel.  I won't be using the Chronarch for saltwater fishing, it will be freshwater.  And it will be a part-time pike/musky reel.

With that info should I get the B or BSV?  The B is standard but the BSV has a deeper spool & a longer handle.  I could buy a B spool if I want a shallower spool.  But the BSV is slightly heavier, I guess due to the longer handle & deeper spool.

Which way would you decide, I just need some ideas.

Spool capacity can be solved simply by purcahsing a spool assembly, what you can 't change are the larger knobs found in the Ch ASV.
