has anyone used the g. loomis drop shot spinning rod? i have just learned that i can get it for $180.00. is it worth the money?

Ive had mine for many years now and love it.  Its probably my favorite rod.  Sometimes I go drop shotting just because I like that rod so much!  Get it.

Wow!  What a thread.

I have been looking at the GLX Drop Shot rod in the BPS catalog and on-line at the G. Loomis site and have been toying with the idea of purchasing the GLX model.

I plan to stop by the BPS off I-95 just north of Richmond tomorrow afternoon on my way back from Quantico to see if they have the rod.

You guys have sold me on the GLX.

For $180 I would grab that thing ASAP!!!!
