This weekend I plan to buy a new setup for a texas rig/jig setup.  Tell me what you think:

    St. Croix rods are heavier than most so a MH is pretty stiff.  Check the lure weight rating to be sure your texas rigs aren't too light.  I picked up an Avid 66MHF (3/8 - 1oz) and it was a little stiff for my purposes so I returned it for a MF - much better for me.  They are sweet rods for sure.  I'd suggest the Shimano Citica 200e or better yet Curado 200e ($155 shipped from ebay) vs the Record - just my opinion though.  Good luck!
