Poor product warning- Reaction Innovation Jig Head

Featured Replies

I've been experimenting with different finesse shaky style heads this year, and I've found one that is not well designed.

Ironically, it's named the "screwed up" jig head. They picked a great name, b/c the wire spring they put on the bait breaks when you set the hook on a fish. I'm two for two on these.

My guess is that the wire is too fine and cannot take much pressure.

Steer clear of this jig head.

The best shaky head I've found is the Davis SL (super long shank) head with the coated Mustad hook. if you can find the bulk pack, you get a heck of a deal at $9.99 for 25 pack.

For a screw on type spring design, the Picasso looks good, but they are HIGH $$$.

i have used them before with great results. what are you using as a trailer?

SpotRemovers will do a great job too..

I'm sorry you are having such problems with the ones you got but I caught over twenty fish on a screwed up jig head before the spring broke.  Perhaps you got a bad batch.

I like the Picasso Shakedown heads. Like you said, a little expensive but they are good heads. I dont like them as well as the Spot Removers but they are close.

Hmmm used the same thing, finnesse worm and trick worm, thought I got a bad batch too.Used my first one and caught several fish, then it broke.Used the second one and it lasted about 3 or 4 fish, broke.Upon using the third one it broke the first fish.I paid top dollar for them since I got them from a little tackle shop.I am pretty dissatisfied and glad that someone else posted it too. Yes they are pretty "SCREWED UP"

Picassso is much better, titanium screw, never breaks

I don't mind using the Reaction Innovations Screwed Up jig heads.  I have broke the spring off before but I have never lost a fish on that head.  That gives me confidence when on the water fishing.  However, I do only use these heads in tounaments and not when i'm out fun fishing because they are pricey.  During a tournament I will replace jig heads due to the spring breaking as long as I'm not losing fish because of it.

Dont mind using lures that break!?!? Well to each his own I guess.

+1 on the Spot remover.  Best head I've used yet.

Bagley's are great, too.  I also like BPS Finesse Football Heads.

man, i can't decide which i think are the best..................probably the kind without the 'screw' altogether     ;D

Thats a pretty cool design

I have tried many diffeent brands, and I now use the hookerz shakey head! The onlt problem I have with it, is getting the hook out of the fishes mouth (it reuires pliers everytime). I was a die hard spot remover man, but I had so many come off, when I switched to the hookerz, the fish is always coming in the boat!

Spot removers are amazing best one I have used, but Brent's are looking pretty sweet. Might have to get some.

Second choice, jigfish.com. Knuckleads for little worms and "finesse pitchin" beavs and super hogs.

Shaky head and jigs are pretty much the only two baits I throw, and I've purchased just about every brand shaky head jig head on the market. By FAR the best I've found are the *** ones. No need to strain your eyes attempting to screw something into the head of the worm, and no more worm slipping off the hook or far down the hook. I haven't noticed a big difference in Fish Catching from them compared to others, but I have noticed I fish a lot more and spend a lot less time getting aggravated.

my dad is blinder than a bat, which is one reason he made these.  those little corkscrews couldn't be more of a pain.

He also doesn't like jacking around with his quality time.....

And this is why your dad is a genius. I just gave most of the heads away that I just ordered from you, so expect another order. All my buddies steal them!
