new season = new gear

Featured Replies

with the start of the new season I want to get some new gear

last year at the end of the season i picked up a curado 200D and the rod its on is alright but I want to get it upgraded any ideas?

I was thinking of a St. Croix Avid 7' med or something but any ideas are greatly appreciated thanks

If you haven't heard Delos is having a sale on Dobyns!!!

I am looking at getting the Avid, alot of folks on here said it was good so when I make my trip to BPS next week I plan on holding one to see. Also it comes with a lifetime warranty and knowing me it has a good chance of breaking so this is a big positive. I have heard St. Croix rods are a little stiffer than usual so test one out first. Also i have been looking at a few other including e21 carrot sticks, BPS JM Elite, and Kistler Mg. Those all seem to be under $200 and have higher quality. Good Luck!

thanks dmac and south fla

i have some older st. croix and the premier

the premier is my favorite set up by far it is perfect and of course its not highest end of my gear but it just produces fish  i like St. Croix a lot and the lifetime warranty is a HUGE plus

*** has the 7' med for only 130 bucks too so i think its a steal i have looked at the mojo bass just as a side note split grip is nice idk if goin up to a legend tournament is worth the extra money?? also would the 7' med hev or the med avids  be better other all for a bc

Look in the Flea Market someone is selling a 6'8"M avid for 100 bucks! That is a killer deal. If I was a St Croix guy I would be all over that rod.

I bought a Mojo Bass. Can't wait to try it out this year. I almost bought a premier but I like the way the Mojo feels. And it's cheaper as well.
