Ok, so being new to baitcasters (1 yr.) and only having owned "cheapo's" up to this point, I have a question. what is this adjuster for? None of my cheapies have it. Thanks!

That dial does not adjust anything.

All it is for is to mark the size of the line you have on the reel as a reminder.

if i remember correctly, the old us600 had the same feature.

I would find this to be somewhat ridiculous if I wasn't absolutely in awe of this reel so far! I know it ain't a ferrari...but when you been driving a Pinto, upgrading to a mustang seems awful impressive...
