Berkley Series One rods

Featured Replies

Has anybody tried these rods?  I saw them on TW and they seem pretty nice for decent price.  I was just wanting you guys input before I pulled the trigger.

Before you buy one of those, compare to a Shimano Compre.  The Compre is about the same price and I like them better.  I am picturing last years model Series One though, haven't seen this years models.

Have you checked your loacl Wal-Mart? One of the WM's by me has several in stock.

I have a 6' 6" M paired with a Revo S and 12# Gamma Copoly which I use for close in work.  I like the rod a lot.  Be careful of the stainless guides though - they are delicate (bend easily).  They keep the rod light and sensitive though with enough power to wack the big ones.

Good Luck,

Bob K

I haven't pulled the trigger on one but they usually have a few in stock at the local wal-mart. They seem like really nice rods and I actually prefer the SS guides. I have two Berkley Lightning rods (spinning) and one Berkley Bionix crankbait rod and I love all of them. I think they are very good rods.

I have never tried one but I am a big fan of Berkley rods. I have goten some serious bang for the buck on those things.
